Pale moonlight streamed in through the window, illuminating the empty cafeteria in cool, blue light. Tabitha glanced around and sent out his Mightyena, whispering, "Don't let anyone in." The silver and black wolf lied down and yawned, thumping its tail back and forth. If anyone came by it would just walk up to them and ask to be pet. But no one would be awake at this time of night, so that wasn't going to happen.

Tabitha quietly opened the refrigerator door, thankful its light was dull. The first things he saw were individually wrapped sandwiches stacked on a plate next to a covered, sliced cake. He took out several sandwiches and placed them on the counter. He got a napkin and carefully lifted the cover off the cake.

The light turned on.

"If you eat like that you will get fat," Courtney leaned against the doorframe, arms folded, watching him. Mightyena sat next to her, wagging its tail and was given another biscuit.

Tabitha grumbled, got a slice of cake, and closed the door. "If you keep talking like a robot you'll turn into one," he glanced at the food and back at Courtney, "Don't tell Maxie."

"I should," she played with the ends of her braided hair.

"If you don't tell him you can go to that salon in Lilycove you've always wanted to go to and I'll pay for it."

Courtney looked up at him, "Anything I want?"

"Yes."

Courtney walked past him and quickly spun the dial on a combination lock on the cupboard where bags of potato chips and other snack foods were.

It wasn't until a few weeks later that Tabitha got the bill. He gaped at it.

Courtney played with her considerably shorter –and now purple- hair. "It's so short~!"

"You got just about everything done possible, didn't you?" He was happy that Courtney was, for the first time in quite a while, smiling, but wasn't this a little excessive?

"I'll buy food for you equal to that amount."
