"Let me be clear about something. If it comes down to you and the witch again, I will gladly let Bonnie die. I will always choose you."
Damon spoke in the most sincere of words. He would never take them back. He was slipping. He was losing the fight at keeping his feelings for Elena at bay. After what happened with Bonnie tonight, this was the one truth he owed her.
Damon watched as an array of emotions crossed Elena's face which included everything from anger to shock and surprise to joy. Now she was just left speechless, for which Damon was feeling a bit cocky.
Stefan has probably never said something like that to her.
Damon and Elena just stared at each, unsure of what to do next.
"Say something, Elena." His voice was dripping with longing as he fought back tears.
"I-I… I don't know what to say." She looked away from him.
Damon rolled his eyes and started walking till he was standing in front of Elena. He gently took her face in his hands. "Yes. Yes you do, because the Elena I know always has something to say."
His confession was a huge risk. There was a high chance of Elena scolding him, and blowing him off like she has always done in the past. Déjà vu was the last thing they needed right now.
Elena decided to forgo words. She grabbed a hold of Damon's hands, and before Damon could even register the shock of what she was doing, Elena captured his lips with her own.
At first the kissing was slow and smooth, like they were taking their time to enjoy the moment. Then they got caught in the heat of the moment. Their lips moved hungrily against each other. It was bliss. In another world it would be perfection. Damon secured his arms around Elena's waste, and he pulled her directly up against his body, making sure she felt his arousal.
Elena gasped and yanked herself away from Damon. "Oh my god…"
Damon wasn't exactly sure what Elena was thinking, but he wasn't about to let what was going on end. That kiss blew away his resolve. He just wasn't strong enough to stay away from her anymore.
"God has nothing to do with it sweetheart." He smirked and did that eye thing that drove Elena crazy. "You better get back over here. You got me started, and once I start, I don't stop."
It has been about four hours since The Last Dance aired in my area. It took me just about four hours to write this. I kept re-writing it over and over. I've been dealing with writers block, and this is getting me back in the game. If I get some inspiration I may continue this.
