A Question for Sheena
Sheena was helping her new 'friends' set up camp. It didn't really require much, they didn't trust her enough yet to let her carry very much.
'Give them time,' Sheena told herself firmly, 'It has only been three days since I joined them to save the Luin villagers. Just last week I was trying to kill them!'
Her musings were interrupted by the elven boy, Genis. He behaved pretty normally around Sheena, though one could tell it was harder on him then Lloyd or Colette.
"Hey, uh, Sheena. Would you cook dinner tonight?" Genis looked about him nervously. " I would love to, are you sure no one will mind?" Sheena replied, "Whose turn is it?"
Genis turned back to her, "It's Raine's turn, and, well, I think she's the only one who might have a problem. Her cooking is, um..."
Kratos broke in from where neither of them thought was listening. "There is nothing like it. I would enjoy something from your homeland perhaps."
"I might not have everything to fix something elaborate..." Sheena said doubtfully. She was uneager to get on Raine's bad side.
Lloyd and Colette came back from collecting firewood and stones, respectively, from the selected campsite. "Did you convince Sheena to take Raine's place yet?" asked Lloyd, somewhat bluntly. "Not yet Lloyd." Genis shook his head.
Lloyd turned his gaze on Sheena. "Will you please? The Professor can't cook at all!"
Colette spoke too," I won't be able to eat whatever is made, but I've eaten The Professor's food before. The only way to her not to take her turn is to give her something new to try."
"Normally we find this guy called 'The Wonder Chef' for new recipes. Except we only find him in towns, and we've been in the wilderness for several weeks now. We've used up all of the recipes we could come up with." Genis explained.
Lloyd was beginning to look nervous. "She'll be back from filling water bottles soon. It doesn't have to be anything special, just something new. Please Sheena?"
Everyone looked at Sheena. Genis, Lloyd, Colette, Kratos, and Noishe even all stared intently, waiting for an answer. Sheena looked back at them all. "Didn't I already agree? Take me to the food!"
There was much rejoicing, even from Kratos, although he was quieter about it than the younger three.
Fini!
A/N Well, that's my first one-shot. I'm not sure on how well it's written, but I have definite doubts on the spacing/format. Let me know what you think. I could really use the help.
