Jack strolled almost blindly through the TARDIS. He sighed as he remembered his own ship, and then he remembered the way it had told him he was sure to die in it's last few minutes. That was enough to make him stop thinking about it, and go back on the mission at hand, which was trying to find the kitchen. It was three doors down from Rose's room yesterday, but now he didn't even know where Rose's room was anymore. He went back to the console room and found the Doctor under the console again, fiddling with something Jack couldn't see.
"Doctor?" he asked.
The Doctor sighed and looked up at Jack, "What?"
Jack ignored the rude response and continued.
"I was wondering where the kitchen is, actually."
"Weren't you there yesterday with Rose?" he said, with a bit of jealousy that Jack barely noticed.
"Yes," Jack answered simply.
"Then don't you know where it is?" the Doctor asked slowly. He was grumpier than usual.
"Its gone. I knew where it was yesterday, it was three doors down from Rose's room. But now its gone, too."
The Doctor stood from his position under the console and wiped his hands on a dirty looking towel. He walked down a corridor, and Jack followed.
"Why are you following me?" the Doctor said, not looking behind him.
"I thought you knew where the kitchen was..."
"I didn't say that. All I said was-"
Rose came out of her room, which just so happened to be right next to them, and interrupted Doctor. She was eating yogurt from a small container, and when she swallowed, she smiled at them both.
"Testosterone all around," she said, "The kitchen down that way." She pointed down the hallway to their left. Jack thanked her and walked that way. The Doctor, however, stayed behind.
"Fancy yogurt, do we?"
She nodded, scooping more and dipping it into her mouth.
Within seconds Jack returned, banana in hand, peeling back the outer layer.
"You have enough of these in there to feed a zoo of monkeys," Jack said, laughing. But as he laughed, the banana some how slipped from his hands and on to the ground at their feet. He let his hand that once held a yellow fruit drop to his side, smile never leaving his handsome face.
The Doctor looked at the banana and back at Jack several times. Rose said not another word and turned on her heel to retreat back into her room.
"What have you done?"
Jack made a face that radiated confusion. "What?"
"You dropped it! You ruined it," he said, picking up the half peeled uneaten banana.
Jack held back a laugh. "I'm-I'm sorry..."
Doctor looked at him in disgust and walked away with the banana.
Jack laughed aloud when he was out of ear shot.
He quietly said to himself, "And the Doctor and the banana lived happily ever after."
