The day of the reaping arrives to fast,
Prim gets picked, Katniss volunteers instead,
Katniss is scared and remembers the past,
Her opponent is the boy with the bread.
The Games begin; there must be one winner,
Innocent lives are taken that day,
Has her companion become a sinner?
The Careers want to win, she's in the way.
She wants to blow up The Careers supplies,
But in the process she loses a friend,
She finds out that Peeta was telling lies,
She claims to love him, to win in the end.
They trick the society to survive,
But not everyone escaped deaths cruel scythe.
