It was one of those rare moments on Shikkearu Island when the ground was clear of mist and civilians who lived there were able to see the sun. The civilians, only three of them actually-along with a herd of Humandrills-were enjoying this special moment by typically doing nothing. Well, yes, a few glances toward the window and admiring how blue the sky was but that was mainly it.

Today, it was Perona's job to make breakfast and over the year she had learned to distinguish between sugar and salt quite nicely. Scrambled eggs really started to taste what it was supposed to be instead of extremely sweet omelets with a crunch aftertaste from the eggshells. Today, she prepared ham and eggs-scrambled for herself and sunny side up for the two swordsmen.

Mihawk's face was hidden behind the newspaper as usual so the ghost princess asked Zoro if she had done the cooking right.

Zoro grinned, "You're getting better at it."

Perona huffed, "Of course!"

Suddenly Mihawk let out a startling grown and set the newspaper down. Zoro and Perona placed their forks down to hear what the master swordsman had to say.

Mihawk folded his hands together and his golden eyes shone, "Today is my birthday."

Zoro parted his lips into an 'o' shape while Perona sucked in a breath and screamed, "What? Again?" she slammed her fists down onto the table, "What is with you two? Procrastinating about your birthdays? Do you know how hard it is to prepare a party all in one day?" Once she was done chastising, she pushed her back against her chair, folded her arms, and pulled down a deep frown.

The master swordsman closed his eyes, "It's fine. I am too old for celebrations." But his tone of voice was very sober.

"Then why did you bring it up in the first place?"

Mihawk cast a glance over to Zoro, "Because the boy announced his."

"A-Are you making it my fault?" Zoro irked when the master swordsman and the ghost princess' eyes were on him.

"Yes yes." Perona raised her voice, "You go do something. You can make dinner and dessert much better than I do."

"Yes, I think that is a good idea." Mihawk's eyes flashed, "Since we celebrated your birthday last time."

"Y-You didn't do anything!"

"I played the violin, have you forgotten?" Zoro felt the pressure pushing him back. He felt cornered by the intense leering from the two. They were true; they did celebrate his birthday and the long lost nostalgic feeling he felt during his travels on the Straw Hat crew revived. He did feel bad, so he gave in.

"Alright. But I don't have anything special to give you, so ask anything."

Mihawk's eyes slightly widened, "Anything?"

"Yeah, anything."

The master swordsman leaned back in his seat, "Well, I do have one wish."

Zoro waved a hand, "Go on. Ask away." Perona leaned her elbows and listened very intently. There was a sudden glint in her eyes that Zoro was not able to catch.

"From now on, will you announce yourself as Juraquille Zoro?"

Zoro dropped his shoulders. He had expected the request to be reserved until nighttime since the man had quite a few naughty ideas up his sleeves. "Sure." If only he took Perona's bulging eyeballs into consideration.

Mihawk looked surprised, "I didn't expect to be this simple..."

"What?"

"Er, nothing. Excuse me for a second." The master swordsman hastily left the living room. Once the large door closed, the ghost princess rushed over to Zoro's side.

"D-D-Do you know what you just agreed to?"

Zoro's face was free of worry but when he saw the look on Perona's face, his eyebrows knitted into confusion, "Did I say something wrong?"

"Idiot! You just agreed to marry him!"

Now Zoro's eyes were wide open, "What?"

She screamed, "What did you think it was?"

"I-I thought he finally accepted me as a student-"

"That's only in the Rakugoka society you dummy!" she shook her head, "What have you gotten yourself into?"

"I didn't know that he would propose me today!"

"That's not the point!" she froze and glanced up, "So you don't care that you are going to marry the one enemy you are supposed to defeat?"

Zoro stammered, "I-"

The door suddenly opened and Zoro and Perona's jaws dropped at the sight of the notorious Red Haired Shanks and his Vice Captain Ben Beckman entered through the hallway in a fancy suit and tie.

"Roronoa! Perona! How nice to see you all!" Shanks suddenly chuckled towards, "Oh yeah, you're going to be called Juraquille now huh?"

"H-How do you know about that?"

Shanks titled his head to the side, "Oh, a little blue bird perched on my windowsill and told me the good news."

"You liar! Hawk Eyes had this planned all along!"

Ben sweat dropped, "You are horrible at lying Captain."

Shanks pushed away the topic, "Anyways, here is your wedding dress!" He placed a large rectangular box on the dining table. He then carefully pulled the outfit, "I think you'll look great in the traditional Japanese wedding kimono. If you don't like it we have the tux and the dress just in case."

"I want to see the wedding dress." Perona blurted out.

"Hey!"

"I do too." Ben muttered out quietly.

Shanks grinned, agreeing also, "Then the wedding dress it is!"

"No! I am not going to wear-Perona what are you-"

"Negative hollow."

And Zoro's vision went black.

Mihawk was tugging at his suit collar. It was made out of silk from rare silk worms only obtained in the West Blue. It had a softer texture than the average worms, but since he wasn't used to it, he felt like wearing a warm pair of comfortable pajamas. He was already at the North Side of the Kuraigana Castle where an ancient and abandoned church was built. Everything was covered in a thin coat of dust and spider webs decorated the ceiling like fancy lace.

Shanks barged into the church and his heavy footsteps echoed as he stomped down the hall, "The witness has arrived. "He pointed to himself.

Mihawk snorted, not caring one bit, "Where's he?"

"Don't be impatient." The door slammed opened, "Ah, there he is." The two swordsmen turned and Shanks caught the smile on Mihawk's face.

Zoro was in a beautiful wedding gown with lace and flowers adorned from around his chest to all the way down to the bottom. It brought out the perfect contours of the swordsman's body. Zoro approached the platform without a word but he had a tight frown over his face to hide the obvious blush. Mihawk knew that Zoro could have refused the wedding dress easily, but the young one didn't, which was why he loved him so much. The flower, Moonlight Teardrops, was placed on his hair, making it look like a small flower in a grassy meadow.

Mihawk took Zoro's hands into his, "You look beautiful Roronoa." He pulled Zoro in an embrace, "I'm glad today is my birthday."

Zoro snarled, his face reddening, "Y-you could' have picked a different day you know. I still would've...said...yes." he voice trailed off.

He felt the master swordsman smile, "It's easier for me to remember." Zoro smiled and rubbed his cheek against the other.

-.-.-

Even though they were officially married, Mihawk could not get the name, 'Roronoa' out of his head. Juraquille Zoro didn't really care.
