Chapter One:
All was quiet in sunny Sherwood Forest. The outlaws slept peacefully, unaware that they were about to be woken up by an unwelcome visitor.
"Robin Hood! Come out and play!" shouted the sheriff. He then proceeded to tell the outlaws (who were still ensconced in their camp) that Gisbourne had finally remembered the route after Robin had led him on a chase to recover Marian's ring. The door to the camp creaked open. Six faces peeked out, all armed and ready.
"That's better!" smiled the sheriff. "Get them!" he shouted to the waiting mercenaries.
"Charge!"" yelled Robin. He shot an arrow, but, with a cry, a falcon stole it out of the sky. He tried again. Same result. He was about to unsheathe his sword, but found himself surrounded by burly mercenaries. "To the castle!" said the sheriff raucously.
Later:
"We're to hang," said Will despondently.
"We're not going to hang!" shouted Robin, and began testing the bars of the cage. "Djaq, do you have any more acid?" he asked the Saracen.
"What does it matter, they've taken our weapons!" cried Allan.
They were in a tiny cell with one window and a door, with a giant rusty padlock. The window gave a lovely view of a sheer drop and the hanging post, with another makeshift one erected with two more nooses swinging from it.
"Robin, I have some acid, but only a little. Not enough to get through the bars," said Djaq.
"Right," said Robin. "Djaq, you distract the guards, Allan will steal the keys and then Little John will knock our jailers out. Ok?"
There was a resounding 'yes'. A guard appeared around the corner and Djaq started talking to him. He drew closer, and Allan managed to extract the keys from his belt. Getting the signal, Little john punched him in the face, and he collapsed. Will used the key to open the padlock, and Little John proceeded to punch the other jailer. The gang managed to sneak out undisturbed, and the only evidence would be two very confused jailers waking up on the wrong side of the cell.
