Run Away With Me

Dramione one-shot

A/N: I wrote this little one-shot 2 years ago but I never posted it because I didn't think it was good. I almost forgot about it but I read it again today and I thought I'd just post it on here... even though I still don't really like it. Anyways It's the first story I've ever published so please let me know what you think!

"Draco?" Hermione turned on the light. She could now see clearly that it was him before her window, but how on earth did he get up there? Her bedroom was on the second floor. She stood up and when she opened the window, she saw the broomstick he was flying on.

"Draco, what are you doing here?"

"I have to talk to you, Hermione."

"Now? It's the middle of the night!" she turned around to look at the clock. "It's –

"It's 2 in the morning, I know, but I had to see you, Hermione. I... I miss you."

"You miss me?" Hermione was confused. "Come inside, it's freezing." She took a step back so he could climb through the window and closed it. Draco Malfoy was now standing in her room.

"Weasley isn't here?" He asked.

"No he's at the Burrow."

"Good. I... I've thought a lot about you, these past two weeks... I keep thinking about that night." Hermione looked away, she didn't want to have this conversation.

"I know you think about it too, Hermione. It wasn't just a one-night stand. Not for me at least." She had to look up. Draco was right, she thought about it too, more than she wanted. She thought about him more than she wanted, and more than she should.

"I'm with Ron. You know that." She sighed. She never should have let it happen.

"I know you are. But I really wish you weren't." The boy's eyes were filled with sadness.

"Why are you here, Draco?" The way he looked at her in that moment made Hermione shiver, it was so intense, so full of unconceiled emotions.

"I'm here because I'm in love with you. I've always been. When we were kids, I acted like I hated you because that's what I was supposed to do, as a Slytherin and as a Malfoy. But the thruth is, Hermione, that I didn't hate you. I never wanted to be your enemy. I wanted to be your friend, but I could never admit that to anyone." He sounded so honest. Hermione knew he meant it, and she knew she loved him too, but she felt too guilty to say it out loud.

"Draco, I can't do this. I'm with Ron. He loves me... and I love him too."

"You don't sound too sure about that." Said Draco. He took her hands in his. "Hermione, look me in the eye and tell me you love him." He pulled her closer and stared into her eyes. She couldn't think clearly, standing so close to him, with his eyes burning straight through hers. "Your not happy with him, I know you're not. I could make you way more happy than that Weasley ever could, Hermione. I love you." Her heart was racing in her chest and she could barely breath.

"I love you too, Draco." It was barely a whisper. Draco lowered his head and kissed her lips softly. When she didn't pull away, he kissed her again, more passionately. Hermione laid her hands around his neck and kissed him back. When he finally pulled away she felt like she didn't want to let him go, she wanted more, wanted to be near him, for ever.

"Let's run away," He whispered, "You and I, together. Let's leave this all behind and never come back."
