Nightmare

Attacks have been reported. People have been disappearing for a while now. People say it's a wolf. Other say it's a huge creature with bat or dragon-like wings. Are theses things real? Do they live among us? No one is safe. Once you walk into that forest. You're been entering a nightmare that you're never escape. There's only one thing to do: survive...as long as you can.

Nightmare

Prologue

A cold chill runs down to Balto's spine as the creature let out a blood curling scream again. Balto back up until he hits a tree. The creature got closer to him. It snarled in the wolf/dog's face.

The creature cocks its head as a stick snaps. Balto then lunged himself at the creature. The creature cried painfully as Balto bit the creature's neck. The creature grips on Balto's fur and threw him against a tree.

Balto vision began to go black as the creature growled at him and came closer to the hybrid. I'm dead, Balto thought as he lost consciousness.

Chapter 1: Being Watch

A dark brown wolf/dog opens his eyes; looking out to the early morning sky. He yawns as he scratches his ears. Now the hybrid walks out to the deck. He feels the cold October wind blow.

"Ah, good morning Balto. You're up again early."

The wolf/dog call "Balto" turns his head and saw a Russian snow goose. "Oh, good morning to you, Boris. How was your date with Stella last night?"

"It was great!" Boris examined. "I'm going to ask her to be my mate next Sunday!"

"Well, I think she will be happy to be your mate," Balto smiled. He said goodbye to Boris as he started walking into town. Nearly twenty minutes later, a red and white husky came up to Balto and nuzzles him. "Morning Balto," the red and white husky said softy as she pulled away.

Balto licks the husky on the cheek. "Morning Jenna."

Jenna smiles. "Kodi should be back from his mail run any minute now."

A young red rusty and white dog name Kodi is leading the mail sled team. He could see the town in far off distance.

"Kodi slow down!" said grey husky with purple eyes.

"But we're there almost Dusty!" Kodi shouted over the winter wind. He looks behind him and looks at another dog. "Come on Ralph! Move faster!"

"Ah! We were been going faster if Kirby haven't broke his paw the other day."

"Well," Kodi said. "We make it faster with just the three of us."

Kodi turns his attention back in front of them. His eyes went wide as he caught a strange scent. The husky stops as he looks around him. He felt he was being watch. Something's out there. But what is it?

"Why did you stop Kodi?" Dusty asked.

"Guys, do you smell that? There's a strange scent."

Dusty and Ralph sniffed the air. "What is it?" Ralph asked.

Kodi was about to answer when he heard a blood curling scream.
