"Excuse me"
Dipper rested his arms on the counter of the local book store "King & Wells Book Shop". A redheaded man in a plaid shirt with a scruffy goatee turned from a computer and smiled at Dipper
"what can I help you with, man?"
"I'm looking for books on the local history and unexplained happenings".
The man turned back to his computer typed in the request and turned back
"we have 12 in the shop right now and they are all in the folklore section"
"thank you"
Dipper darted off for the back of the shop. After an hour of looking, reading, and pricing out Dipper walked back up to the desk with three books under one arm, he handed the books up and the man scanned them
"that will be 6.20"
Dipper handed the man a few Bills and coins
"I'm sorry, but you're two cents short"
Dipper dug in his pockets but found no more change
"you know what never mind"
Dipper was about to take the books back when the man stopped him
"wait, I know that you come in here almost ever week so I'll let it go. I'm sure that you'll pay it back soon"
"thanks! You have no idea how much that this is going to help me".
Dipper turned and was about to leave,
"hey what's your name"
he asked the man.
"Alex"
"well thank you again"
Dipper grinned. The man smiled and waved as Dipper ran off
"nice kid"
he said then went back to work.
