Temptation lied
within the warmth of a touch,
it captivated people with its seemingly dangerous desires
It kept Ludwig up at night with trepidation
and Gilbert up with thoughts of what could go wrong
Love was a mysterious thing
though it also bore its own tragedies and flaws:
people have free will
which makes or breaks them,
so they'd go on for another day,
whether to feel pain or to heal the pain
Gilbert would carry his scars, clear as day, as if on his skin
though they were not physical scars
Ludwig would live with worry and an almost fear towards this:
This could so easily go wrong,
so they remain separate.
