WATCH YOUR STEP

The flood waters roared before them, boiling over craggy rock and thundering toward the waterfall in the distance. Neither Winchester was thrilled about crossing the maelstrom below on their makeshift "bridge". Yet they had no choice.
"You ready?" murmured Dean.
"Not really," Sam solemnly replied.
Dean went first, stepping onto the log, his breath catching when it rolled slightly. Dean stutter-stepped forward, felt Sam step up behind him.
Their "high-wire act" over the water was slow going, their arms akimbo to maintain balance.
The tree suddenly groaned mightily beneath their combined weight. Dean froze. Sam's frightened yelp behind him nearly stopped his heart. "Sam?" his call was barely above a whisper.
"I...I'm okay. Foot slipped."
Dean swallowed hard and started forward movement again. More creaking. Sweat beaded on his forehead, dripped into his eyes.
A loud crack echoed behind Sam and the wood bowed. "Dean! Move! GO!"
They scrambled desperately for the opposite shore their boots losing purchase as their foundation gave way. Dean took a flying leap, landing in the mud face first. Sam landed beside him.
Spitting mud from his mouth, Sam groaned, "You okay?"
"I'll be better after we kill that damn warlock..."
