I'm not completely sure on what exactly happened. One moment I was sitting on the couch eating potato-chips and the next I was flying in front of a massive wave of heat.
It was probably a gas explosion.
But that wasn't what was confusing me.
What was was the fact that, after both an instant and an eternity, I could feel, taste, see, and hear.
Of course, everything I could feel was cold. Seriously, the (frozen solid) sticks were snowy, the (not, reversed) sunlight brought cold instead of warmth, not to mention the water- wait, the water was warm. Everything was reversed.
"Urgh." I gargled (raspy). And of course my voice didn't work either. Because everything else was working today. As a matter of fact…
I cut that line of thought off, I didn't need to be complaining to my brain. After a few short moments of frustration, I started to think about my body. That was another strange thing. It was light for lack of a better word. As if I was about to float away. It took conscious effort to do anything. And I do mean anything. I hadn't been breathing this whole time. After a few seconds of panic, ('eek!') I managed to get that started up. It rattled in my chest like a rain-stick. Yes, just like a rain-stick. I finally uncurled (when did I curl?) my (ice cold burning hot) body and sat up. And yelped (still raspy).
Remember how I said it was cold earlier? It got ten times worse. It felt like I was in a bucket of ice water this time.
Still, I forced my eyes open, and stilled. My body was covered in rags the color of midnight under a rock. My hands and forearms were cloaked in form-fitting, yet twisted greaves (a sword lied to the right mere feet away, unnoticed). I turned on my knees, ignoring the liquid nitrogen and scrambled towards the pool of water I had been lying in packed full of dread. I wasn't blind. I was in a new world. And I was a Nazgul.
"Kyaaaaa!"
