Intro
"Saden!" Cloud yelled out to his lover. She had just taken a massive hit from the tail of an Akantor, and was sent flying to the opposite end of the field. She landed hard, rolling backwards and stopping facedown into the grass, then jumped up with her longsword in handto run to another area to heal. Cloud didn't realize that he was watching her that long, until he was knocked back by by a giant leg landing in front of him. "Shit!I'm not dying here! Vincent, Hoyte! Take over!" Cloud yelled out to his friendas he stumbled off to heal with Saden. "rough Fight, eh? Saden huffed as she sharpened her weapon. "heh... just as much fun as we had with that damned Fatalis a week ago" he laughed weakly. "True... he was a pain in the ass. Then again, we did have Yuki and Vivian with us that night. Hoyte and Vincent aren't as them, so we ---!!" Saden and Cloud scrambled for the area that their two friends wereleft fighting, to find them both on the ground.
The Akantor was right over them, about to kill them both and growling menacingly. Hoyte was in was in Vincent's arms crying as the Akantor made its final attack, shoving its open jaws towards its two helpless victims. "NO we're too late!" Saden screamed as she was held back by Cloud, and buried her face in his shoulder. Suddenly, there was a flash of metal and an odd ring filed the air.
Chapter 1: Beginning
"Hey, Hoyte!" Vivian and Saden called out to their friend in town. Hoyte walked over to the group, entering the discussion. Vincent was speaking. "Alright everyone. This isn't like anyquest that we've had so far, so put on your best armour. That doesn't mean your cutest one, Vivian, epecially not your Kirin 're trying to kill the monsters, not seduce them." Vivian turned away blushing at the remark. "Our next target is the elusive Chameleos. He can disappear and reappear at will, so he's going to be hard to find and track." Then Hoyte spke up after VIncent. "Also! Grab your best weapon, fire attribute is perfect, and anything to remedy his toxins from your system. Bring strength, defense, and health boosters as well as your basics to this mission. It's essential to survival. Meet back here in the gathering hall in 30 minutes." At that, the meeting drew to a close, and everyone left to get ready, all except for Vivian and Saden.
"That was a good speech Vincent made." Vivian smiled as she said his name. " You only say that because you like him. But you already know he's with Hoyte, right?" "Good point..." Vivian grumbled. "Aren't you still interested in Yuki?" Saden questioned. "Maybe, but Vincent is still so very ----!" "Very what?" Vincent walked up from behind them, confused as to why he was being talked about. "N-nothing!" Vivian stuttered like a child. "No wonder I've been sneezing up a storm! Here you two are, talking about me!" Vincent stopped, then smilied at Vivian, who's face was a scarlet color. "Umm... Vivian?" "W-what is it Saden?" "You're blushing heavily." "Haha... yeah, you are Viv. Well! I'm off. I'll see you girls around." At that, Vincnt walked off.
"I'm gonna go get ready, Viv. I'll meet you in the gathering hall in 10 minutes." Saden said smiling. "Later!" "Urg... I guess I'll the same." Viivian walked home alone, thinking about Vincent and what is to await her in the upcoming quest.
