GASP!

I stood up in bed, breathing rapidly, gasping for air.

Sweat was pouring down my face, as I instinctively clutched on the lavender-shaded blanket of mine.

"Is this it?" I wonder.

I blink. "Is it over?"

My gaze looked over to the balcony of my bedroom, as I hear wings quietly flapping in the starry night sky.

I sigh as I bring my legs closer to my chest. Drawing little patterns on the bedsheets with my finger, I pondered.

The flapping continues. Much more audible now, as if it was coming closer.

Eventually, the silhouette of a winged figure materialized on the glass doors leading to my balcony.

And then, the eyes.

The pale, yellow eyes were dimmed over the glass door and the night sky, but I can still sense the emptiness in those eyes.

The same eyes that once contained a sense of dignity and courage, now display nothing but unexplained emptiness.

All of a sudden, my body froze. I don't know if it's because of terror, because of how cold it is, probably.. Whatever the reason was, I stopped drawing the invisible patterns and let my full attention focus on the silhouette nearing my balcony doors.

"It's him again. I don't want to believe it, but it's him again."

-NOTE-

This chapter is short because it is not part of the main story until much later.

The Nightmare Log is the horrifying experiences and nightmares of one certain Smash fighter after a supposedly planned incident documented in one book from the protagonist's point of view. Each entry details the protagonist's up and downs, both equally dark.

This is the Author's first time formally handling with horror, so elements in said genre are not perfectly written. Please forgive the author in advance for that.

However, despite the unprofessionalism that the Author might display, the story still contains blood, gore, and perhaps detailed descriptions of the nightmares the protagonist experiences, which the Author does not promise will be well-crafted.

Despite this, the elements of horror in this story are not enough by the Author's standards to be considered "Mature", but if the general majority and itself considers it, then it will be changed.

Read at your own risk.

This is not a shipping book in any way. All relationships of the Smashers are purely platonic or rivalry, depending on the Smasher being talked about.
