Prologue
It all started the day I turned five. The world was at war with itself for the fifth time in our history. The copper-skinned people wanted our territory. After talking to then and giving them everythig they needed, they still attacked us. In my city. Tucson, Arizona is no longer a city, but a creater. My house is still standing, though it shouldn't be. I shouldn't be alive, nor my mom. I can remember the bomb dropping onto our roof. My mom got me from outside and took off toward the basement. I knew we were going to die. As I started to cry, my sister and brother joined me. All of us turning five, all of us about to die. I stopped crying with my sister and brother. When Atlanta stopped crying a lady came into the basement. I heard my mom yelling at her to leave, only she didn't. I thought it was the lady with the one eye again, coming to get us so Diego and I turned around in fear. There was a bright light in the room. When I turned around, Atlanta was dust and Diego was gone. Since that terrible day, my mom and I have been traveling from sewer to sewer. Surviving in this America is top priority. There aren't any theaters or boyfriends. Just desserts and old rusty sewers. Before our house burned and my sibilings taken, my mom was worried. She still is worried. The last thing I remember before that day are monsters, and I still see them.
