A Split Heart: Poem
A little boy watched his mother fall,
he saw his other mother.
She had a palm full of dust.
She just stared emotionless,
and walked away, without a thought.
He cried for help,
his savior came as a dragon.
It turned into a curly, blonde haired woman.
He cried even harder.
The woman heard his cries,
and looked at the object of them.
Her staff dropped,
an anguish filled scream echoed throughout the air.
The woman ran over.
And held the raven-haired woman.
She shook her,
but nothing happened.
She had horror filled, dead, eyes,
open to the heavens.
They seemed to be searching,
even, when in death.
The blonde clutched the raven,
as if a lost lifeline.
Which she was to her,
but she could never regain her.
She abruptly realized she could save her love.
Her own heart could save her.
Heartbroken,
she filled the raven woman with warmth.
The raven woman's eyes flickered alive,
she smiled magnificently.
"Mal",
she whispered the blonde woman's name.
Mal, did it,
she saved her love.
"'Gina".
She grasped her Gina's face.
He watched the two hold each other.
Smiling, he thought,
"They did it,"
"They found each other and will break the curse."
Their lips connected,
a blast of rainbow light burst outward.
It surrounded the entire town,
seconds later, it was all forest.
Disconnecting their lips,
they looked around.
They were attired in white dresses.
Wedding dresses.
On the floor of the Dark Castle.
