"All you do is walk?" The toad asked me as I talked to him in the market.

"I left the Shy Guy village when I was a little boy. Each day I walk. Why? well back when I started I was searching for these ancient jewels that my village told me stories about." I replied to him.

"How do you know which way to go?" He asked.

"I do not know. No matter which way you walk you will always end up somewhere." I replied to the confused man.

"Do you ever return home?" He asked me.

"I have no home. I lost my village a while ago to a fire. No I am a man Without a home and a roof. But I enjoy walking each day. You never realize how beautiful the world is until you go out and see it." I told him.

"Okay last question, Why do you wear the mask?" He asked me looking at my white mask and red hood.

"The Shy Guy village i was born in was hidden so far from other civilizations that nobody ever saw us. But when we lose our homes or abandon our homes to go out and search we cover ourselves to signify the lose of who we are. Because without a place to call home we are nothing but a piece of dirt floating in the winds of life." I replied to the man.

We sat talking for hours. observing our surroundings. I watched as the city I was in worked. I watched the people laugh, talk and cry. I missed a life without people. i missed having a home. I missed having a roof. I missed not having to worry about death each day.

"So tell me Shy Guy. Does death ever concern you?" He asked me.

"Death concerns everyone as nobody wants to die. but if I die on my adventures all that means is that i have fulfilled my purpose in life and that takes the worries away." I said to the man through my mask.

"You know Shy Guy why not just live here. This is a great place to live. We have everything." He told me.

I gave the matter thought but then shook it aside.

I spoke "I lost my home years ago. All this place would be is a temporary living area. But eventually I would have to leave. For I will not replace my home. My home was my village and I will never let that place go."

The man gave me a strange look and then spoke. "Fine, But you can stay for a while."

And stay a while I did. I stayed in that village for about a year or so but I knew my adventures had to continue so on the same day I came to the village I decided to leave and journey forth. But asI left for the Desert a feeling came over me like no other feeling I have had in a long time. I was... Happy. Not just by leaving for the desert sands surrounding the village. But more by the fact that if I need to leave the wild I had a place I could return to and be accepted. And with that feeling I left. Though before I did so I gave a small letter to the Toad who convinced me to stay.

Dear Toad,

Today is the day that I must return to my adventures. I would like to thank you for giving me a place to stay and a place to return to in my time of need. I thought each day I was here about the jewels I started this journey looking for. And i realized that I had them all long. O my adventures I had seen many amazing sights. sights that can't be seen at home. Even with a photograph these "sights" are the same. In order to see the true beauty of these sights you have to see them for yourself. These sights are just as beautiful as a gem. But then in your village I saw sights to. Each persons life is like a Gem. Each time a person laughs, cries, or does nothing at all, there is a odd sort of beauty to it. This made me realize I had found these gems all along. And all you have to do to find these gems is just open your eyes to look at the world and actually try to see.

Sincerely, Shy Guy
