Title: The Five Times Lee Realizes He's Supposed to be with Kara

AN: I don't normally write these types of one-shots but it's been in my notebook so long I felt sorry for it.
1. When the last person he thought he'd ever see again rolled out from under the belly of a Viper and it seemed like his world clicked into place. The surprise on her face was genuine and it gave him a little rush to know he got one up on the great Starbuck. He knew it wouldn't be long until she put him firmly back in his place but that would be nice too.
2. When he wanted so badly to frak her against the bar when he saw her in that dress. Instead he said something stupid, let someone cut in, and had to watch her from the sidelines for the rest of the night. He knew the look in her eyes the next morning could not bode well for anyone. Starbuck was not supposed to be afraid, especially not of herself.
3. When she walked through the hatch and all her could see was her. The rest of the people disappeared and it didn't matter that most thought her dead. She was alive and his heart could start beating again. Kara didn't need to know that he had prayed for her return ever since she disappeared from into front of his eyes.
4. When she screams out for an empty planet to hear that she loves him. Then she curls up by his side and he dreams of a cottage for the two of them. In those quite moments, he watches the stars swirl about them and thinks that he would be okay never flying again, never finding Earth, if he could just stay right here for the rest of his life.
5. When, even covered in blood and pain in every muscle, they still cling to one another. The fight didn't matter. They were together again. And as they whispered their peculiar apologies the intervening time vanished and dripped away like the blood on the mat.
