I walk into the security building. Half of me was hoping that he was there and the other half was hoping that he wasn't.
"Hello. May I see some I.D"
I slid my I.D. over to him.
"Can you tell Mr. Leo McGarry that Jennifer Robinson is here to speak to him"
"Sure I can, Ms. Robinson"
He picked up the phone and called dad's office.
"Yes, Mr. Leo McGarry's office? There's a Ms. Jennifer Robinson here to see Mr. McGarry. Alright"
He hung up the phone, slid my I.D. back over to me, and said,
"He'll be down in a few minutes"
About nine minutes later, I looked through a window behind the guard to see dad running towards the building.
"Ya know what? Just tell him to forget it"
I got outside just as Dad got into the security building. "Where is she"
"Ms. Robinson just left"
I was walking down the street when I heard the sound of expensive shoes clacking on the ground. Then, I heard dad's voice.
"Jen"
I was already tired. All I wanted to do was go home, and sleep off whatever I was catching. I wanted to just let dad know the whole family was going to get together for a little picnic. I turned around, slowly, and looked dad dead in the face. I tried to give him my best fake smile. "Hey dad"
I walked up to him and he just looked at me, then said,
"Wow. Jen, it's been a while"
"Almost 10 years"
"Come on. We'll go inside, you can meet everyone, and we can talk about"
"stuff"
"yeah, we can talk about stuff"
We walked inside and into the part of the white house that dad works in. "Oh! Leo, who is this"
"Everybody, this is my daughter, Jennifer. Jen, this is Donna Moss, Josh Lymon, Toby Ziegler, CJ Cregg, Charlie Young. "
"Hi everybody"
"Hey Jennifer"
"Does anyone know where Sam is"
"Getting the paper"
All of a sudden, we saw a guy about 26-28 years old, walk into the office area. He was wearing glasses, looking down at a paper.
"Leo, I finally have it"
He looked up to see me standing there.
