It was a really quiet night aboard the Thousand Sunny,
the whole crew went to their bedrooms to rest after celebrating their new nakama,
leaving Luffy all alone in his night shift.
"Ahh, this is boring,"sighed the captain while watching the wide, quite sea
until he heard footsteps Heading towards him,
"need a company there ,captain?" said the swordsman , as he sat next to him, but the boy never replayed,
the two of them stared at sky in a moment of silence,
"Tonight is a full moon ,huh?" said Zoro, looking at his captain who kept ignoring him,
"what happened?" Luffy finally spoke, lowering his voice,
"what?"
"I said "what happened"?" he said,
"I don't know what you're talking about" Zoro replayed in a calm, uncaring tone
that provoked the younger to actually grab the man's shirt only to yell at his face:
" DON'T LIE TO ME, YOU'RE HIDING SOMETHING, WHAT ELSE WOULD EXPLAIN YOU BEING HEAVILY INJURED WHILE I WAS ALL ENERGETIC,I KNOW THAT SOMETHING HAPPENED THAT NIGHT AND I KNOW IT..."
"just...don't lie to me"he said as he leant his head on his first mate's shoulder.
"you did it so i can live ,didn't you?" said Luffy.
however Zoro only sighed ,carding the boy's dark hair with his fingers,
"I'm sorry.."
"huh?"
"I'm sorry.."
"why are you apologizing?"
"because i broke our promise.."
"what promise?" Zoro asked but Luffy never replayed,
"hey, I'm talking to yo-", he was silenced by the surprise that luffy has actually fell asleep on his chest,
Zoro had no choice but to carry his sleeping captain to his bed.
And once he was about to put him down, he remembered...he remembered the promise...
"I'll tell you one thing, I will always follow my ambitions"
"ambitions?"
"to become the world's greatest swordsman!, if you do anything that would cause me to abandon my ambitions.."
"you will end your own life on my sword"
"that's nice,as the pirate king's comrade, I wouldn't expect any less from you"
those words rang in his head for a moment, until he finally sighed regaining consciousness as he returned to the deck,
"heh, he's one hell of a guy" he said as he smirked while gazing at the dark ,starry sky.
