So, I read some fic's from Teen Wolf and noticed a lot of use of 'sourwolf'. I guess it's Stiles-Derek thing (what's a 'thing'?). I regret not having paid more attention during watching the show now.

When Stiles finally got home he wasn't prepared to see a slightly panicked Allison, looking between hesitating Scott and her cousin pinned to the floor by Derek in his full growly wolf glory, asking her not-so-much-ex boyfriend to do something.
"What the hell?" Stiles voiced his confusion.
"Um..." Scott scratched his neck, weighting up the pros and cons of answering.
"Scott?"
The young werewolf sighed, "He called him Sourwolf."
Derek snarled. The hunter under him whimpered in terror. Stiles' eyes glinted, his glare honing in on the poor boy and started to advance.
Scott finally decided to take action, "Stiles!"
