Cloud looked around the area he had ended up in.
It was obviously not the same place as Barret, or Tifa, or anyone else.
Being seperated from his friends, he decided it would be best to begin by
looking for them.
The area was black, and as the surroundings began to focus, he found
himself in an arena, with a dark form standing across the room from him.
Almost immediately he recognized the man.
"Sephiroth." He said, under his breath. He looked at him, his crystal blue
eyes sparkling, with a part confused, part enraged look.
The man gave an evil smile, and chuckled at Cloud. "So, Cloud, looks like
we're fighting again. Only this time, I seem to have the advantage."
Sephiroth's form did appear more powerfull than before. A black, feathered
wing portruded from his back. He had a long black coat, lined in red, and
wore some tight black pants. Cloud secretly wondered how much of the
appearance was to get him a girl.
Sephiroth quickly charged towards him, and only then did Cloud realize he
had no weapon.
Just before Sephiroth's huge masaume hit him, Cloud found himself in
darkness. This time he saw his friends standing, fighting against
something. The same things that took over his world. He noticed that Yuffie
and Cid were gone, and he wondered if they were dead. Unable to help them,
Cloud backed away from his friends a few paces.
Tifa quickly turned that way, she looked at him, with a blank expression on
her face, as she fell face first on the ground. Defeated and left without a
heart.
Once again Cloud was lost in darkness. Only, this time when he opened his
eyes, there was no vision of pain, or hurt. He could see two of his friends
standing in front of him, smiling. Yuffie and Cid. As Cloud approached,
they stepped aside, and he saw Aeris. She stood, wearing the same pink
dress she had always worn. She smiled, holding her hand out to him.
As he approached, he noticed a slit cut through her stomach. The closer he
got, the bigger it got. A bright, white light shone through. He shielded
his eyes, unable to move.
The light got brighter, untill it was more than he can bear.
Finally, a huge light engulfed her body, and with a flash, it went away,
and pure, white feathers were all that was left. He looked down, through
the feathers to see a single, pink flower.
Darkness began to engulf this scene, too. This time, however, Cloud fell
backwards, and let it take him over.
