Title: sweet affairs.

Summary: Small snippets of what could of been. Nate\Jenny. Book verse.

Authors Note: I don't really ship Nate and Jenny and I haven't read the books in a while so my memory's a little sketchy but I'm in the mood for writing book verse scenes and stuff.

Disclaimer: I own nothing.

She tastes like peach lip gloss and innocence.

He tries to forget that she's just a child as his tongue explores her mouth.

Her small hands are covered in pink gloves and a smile that could light up all of New York is plastered on her face as she calls Nate.

"Hey," She says brightly into the phone, she hears Nate mumble some unintelligent reply and frowns.

"Is this a bad time?" She asks nervously, don't reject me, don't reject me, don't reject me.

"Yeah." Comes Nate's harsh reply, the dial tone ringing through her ears.

He feels bad, he really does.

He likes Jenny, he really does.

But,

"Hey man!" Anthony calls, kicking a soccer ball on his knees.

Jenny's hand fits perfectly with Nate's.

She dreams of wearing a white wedding dress, while he wears a tux.

She floats down the aisle, all eyes on her.

Nate's lips on her mouth wake her up out of her daydream.

She's never really been interested too much in lacrosse before.

She watches Nate play lacrosse once, or twice, or three times.

She should remember but she can't.

All she remembers is Nate. Nate. Nate. Nate.

Nate playfully pulls down Jenny's beanie over her head.

Her giggle is infectious, childish, innocent.

Her arms fly around his neck, bringing him closer towards her.

Inhaling his scent as she squeezes him tight.

Suddenly Jenny is everywhere.

Hanging onto Nate's every word, calling him all the time.

It's too much and so he breaks up with her.

And gets back together with Blair.

Jenny's heart is broken, shattered.

She can't breathe.

She thought Nate was her one and only.
