Police sirens were running past her apartment late at night but she didnt find her self paying any attention. All she could see was the knife on the counter; oh how bright it shined. She picked it up, memories of him running through her head. She took the knife and held it close to her skin, the cold metal sending goosebumps up her arm.

She remembered pictures of his dead body laying in his coffin. His eyes were shut but she could see them, clouded and distant. She pressed the knife deeper into her skin. It stinged but she ignored it. She couldnt handle her feelings anymore.

"I love you ..." the words rang through her head. She dragged the knife across her skin, the sticky red liquid pouring out like the tears out of her eyes. It hurt. Not the knife but her emotions stinging more that anything else she could possibly imagine. She couldnt take it.

Reluctantly, she took the knife away from her skin and set it on the counter. She sat in her dark appartment, blood running down her hand, tears streaming down her face.

Her cries wouldnt be cried. The pain in her eyes wouldnt be found anymore. She was going to sleep and wouldnt wake up to face the pain again tomorrow.
