Chapter 1:
Ronda Rousey is a young woman living in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She works as a fighter, traveling around the world fighting for little money. She has one brother, Mark, and lives with her mother. Her father had commited suicide when she was 6 years old. She is now 22 years old, doing everything to help her brother and mother out. She has several best friends. But there was one boy she had the best connection with. Brock Lesnar. He was quarterback in high school all 4 years and graduated with honors. He was social with his friends, but had never dated, no matter how much the cheerleaders flirted with him and swooned. Ronda and Brock were so close, they called each other bro and sis.
But they both always wanted more. They never knew how the other felt, and didn't want to lose them altogether. So they kept their feelings quiet and carried on. Ronda is now dressing for a party, thinking over all of this. She remembered how they would drive to college together, singing American Authors songs. That was their favorite band, and they had been to several concerts. She remembered times of watching football games on Saturday and Sunday together with their friends. Everything they did was special to her and she did not want to lose everything. Even if Brock wanted to date her, someone would still stand in their way. Her brother Mark. Mark and Brock were best friends.
Still, Mark was very protective of her. He had basically become her father. He was always with her. Because of this, she had never dated. It would be a huge problem if Ronda and Brock ever dated. Ronda knew it would ruin Mark's friendship with him, so the idea of ever dating Brock was did not know that her and Brock were best friends. That is just how he was. He had seen Brock snap before and warned Ronda to stay away. But she couldn't think of that now. She had a party to attend. It was Brock's birthday and Ronda could not think of her problems now. It was Brock's day. And she was going to make him happy. She could only hope Mark was not going to be there, having something else to do. Or had already left.
