Korra slowly opened her eyes. She glanced around the room and let out a sigh. She was back in her old room on Air Temple Island. She saw her friends and family, the people meant to love her, surround her bed. Her parents, Tenzin, Pema, Meelo, Jinora, Ikki, and Bolin resting in chairs set up randomly around the room. Korra let out a sigh. There were two people who weren't in the room, though she can't say she was surprised. During her epic fight with Vaatu, Vaatu showed her what was happening back in Republic City. A certain boy whom had captured her heart wasn't wondering if Korra was okay, or even acknowledging the fact that she was in the Spirit World, saving the world. He was cuddled up with Asami, lying in bed. He was whispering sweet nothings into her ear. Had Jinora not been with her at that moment, giving her hand a reassuring squeeze, Vaatu would have been able to channel Korra's anger and win, sending the world into ten thousand years of chaos.
Korra quietly got up, sneakily leaving the crowded room. She slowly made her way to the stables, in search of Naga, who was always there for her. Korra curled up into Naga's side, taking comfort in her warm fur, and quiet companionship.
As Korra closed her eyes, she felt steps approaching her location, their voices carrying over to her through the wind. Korra let one lone tear fall before she wiped it away. She slowly stood up and walked to the door, Naga following close behind.
They were so wrapped up in their own world, that they didn't notice Korra until she spoke. "It's been a while, Hasn't been Mako, Asami?"
They came to an abrupt halt, snapping their heads to the direction of the Korra's voice. "You don't need to say anything Mako, but do I have something to say to you. Why? Why would you so quickly forget about everything we've been through? How could you let just a few days separate our relationship to this new one? You weren't aware last night while you were with your new girl, but I almost lost. I saw you two together. I take back what I said about us being meant for each other. If we were destined to be together, you wouldn't have almost helped the world plummet into evil. I hope you both have a good life, just know, that I won't be in it as anything but your Avatar, meant to keep the peace."
Her voice was icy, just like that of her first element. It was steady, like that of the earth. It had passion like that of fire. Turning away from them walking back to her room where her loved ones were, she embodied evasion like air. In that moment, Korra embodied the Rava spirit completely.
Naga let out a slow growl directed at Mako and Asami. Never before had Mako or Asami felt so frightened or horrible in their lives. They slowly released their hands. They stayed like that through the night, only moving when Korra revealed her intent to visit the world, whistling Naga over to her.
Korra stayed true to her word. Mako and Asami never saw her again.
