The Doctor's head shot up from underneath the console as Rose sat down nonchalantly on the jump seat. "Morning," she greeted him with a winning smile.

"Hm, yes," he replied, utterly distracted. Without warning, an indescribably delicious smell had reached his superior olfactory system. It was absolutely, maddeningly scrumptious.

It was bananas.

Well, to be precise, it was bananas mixed with a healthy dose of sugar and strawberries, another favorite fruit of his. Alone, each were marvelous and possibly fantastic. Together, well, he hadn't invented the daiquiri for nothing.

He stood and looked around suspiciously. Was the TARDIS blowing scented air to him? She must be trying to tell him something. Scented air... Disney World? Did she want them to go to Florida? The Doctor shook his head. No, that was ridiculous. Though admittedly quirky, the old girl had never expressed a desire to visit the Land of the Mouse.

So what, then, was that enticing aroma?

Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Rose shifting and fixing him with a puzzled and slightly worried look. "Is everything alright?" she asked, and it was then he noticed a faint sheen on her lips.

Ah.

His face cleared. "No, yes, everything's fine. Peachy as can be." He grinned. "Nothing but the odd smell of fruit. Speaking of which," he added, as upbeat as ever and advancing toward her, "You have got just about the most brilliant lips in the universe at this moment." With that declaration and not a word of warning more, he swiftly bent his head and stole a kiss.

His technique was simple but tested and effective, and he sucked at first her bottom lip then her top, finding the source of his latest fascination.

Rassilon, it even tasted amazing. He'd many a time purchased a fruity lip concoction not because he wanted to use it, but because it would undoubtedly taste great. He had been disappointingly wrong each and every time. Oh, but this... this was good. His tongue stroked along the soft, plump, pink skin, lapping up every trace of the flavour.

Drawing back, he noted the half-lidded, slightly dazzled expression on Rose's face. He clamped down on a bit of smugness and grinned instead. "For the record, there are no planets that prohibit the use of flavoured lip balm. So, you know, you can wear it whenever you please." He smirked at the still-dazed Rose and disappeared down the hallways of the TARDIS, deciding to get some reading done.
