A/N: So, this'll be fun for me cuz I only just started season five, but hey! I like a challenge. (Sorry guys, I'm about to butcher a really awesome character, cuz I have really barely a clue how he would act here.)
Prompt: "How about Cas? Human, homeless, hungry and exhausted. And some rain maybe. And then a little girl sees him out the window and comes down and give him some clothes and a sandvich? Cute little girl with an umbrella? And may be she is an angel, but Cas doesn't know it." - deadone1013

The human society was... different, to say the least. Here he was, sitting in what felt like a typhoon, in some empty alleyway in New York. He'd been walking for who knows how long and so far he'd been attacked, robbed, made fun of, and not a single person had offered him food or shelter. (And Dean said angels were dicks.)
He brought his knees up, wishing he at least had some food to calm his rumbling stomach. How did humans live like this? What about the ones who couldn't afford food on a regular basis? Were they simply doomed to starve?
Perhaps that is what will become of me...? So he did the only thing he could think of. He prayed for a meal.

She sat on the couch. She was watching some cartoons, only eight or nine. Then she felt something... different. Standing, ignoring the poor coyote on the screen, she walked to the window. The first thing she noticed was the rain. It must have been cold out too, because there was a snofake here and there.
The second thing was the man. He was sitting in the ally, with torn clothes, and he looked really sad. My parents always make me a sandwich when I'm sad. I'll make him one!
She ran to her kitchen, bursting with excitement. Grabbing the stool next to the fridge, she prepared her new friend's meal. A big fat sandwich with chunky peanut butter and strawberry jelly! Not jam, because it's gross.
Giggling, she snatched her bright yellow umbrella from the hook. It took her a few minutes to find him again, but it wasn't too hard. She walked up to the man, excited and grinning. "'Scuse me, mister?" The man raised weary and confused eyes to her, not saying anything. "You looked sad, so I made you a sandwich!" She was beaming with excitement, holding the food to him.
He took it hesitantly, but gratefully. He looked from the sandwich to the girl, and offered a small smile. "Thank you."
Days later, long after the man had left, a new thought occurred to her. Oh, that's what that weird feeling was! He musta' prayed! Lucky I was close then. She giggled, her hosts parents sending her a confused look.
Life was good.
