Fool, I Am The Weasel!

Drabble about the Pevensie boys meeting their horses.

"Lord Edmund, meet Philli-hinny-hoo-phraa."

Edmund gulped. "Hello," he said cautiously. "I'm Edmund."

"I am Phili-hinny-ha... You couldn't pronounce it. You may call me Philip."

Peter smiled.

"What's funny?" Edmund asked.

"Philip," Peter replied. "It means 'horse-lover'."

The faun led them into the next stall, containing a snow-white mare, with a twirling horn.

"And this is yours, Sir Wolfsbane," the faun said, stroking the unicorn's head. "Lovely girl, Luisa. But not much of a talker."

"But still a good steed?" Peter asked.

"Yes milord," the faun replied. "I reared her myself."

"Good," the High King-to-be said. "We'll need experience. More than anything else."

Author's Notes

- As Bree tells us in The Horse and His Boy, horses often have very long unpronounceable names.

- If you got the reference in the title, you are awesome. :-)
