Every Cloud has a Silver Lining: a pokemon story
I awoke in the morning to an eerie cry outside my window. I looked over at the Pokémon Tower, assuming it had come fro there, but I realized it had come from the left, near the lake. I jumped up and ran outside, and over to the lake, where the awful cries steadily grew. I gasped as I saw laying in the shallow water a serpent-like Pokémon with a small gem on its forehead. Dratini. But what was a dratini doing here? Dratini were a very rare Pokémon that could ususally only be found by using the move dive in deep waters of oceans. So what was one doing here? I unfortunately didn't have much time to ponder this however, as I saw the water around the dratini was tinted red. I knew I had to do something. I picked up the dratini and ran as fast as I could back home.
When I got home I turned on the water in the bathtub and plugged it. Then I gently placed the dratini in the sink and turned on the water. It let out a cry as the cold water hit it at a first, but stopped. I tried to carefully clean the wound and I stopped the bleeding, then put the dratini in the tub, where it happily swam around. After about 10 minutes I took the Pokémon over to the Pokémon center and explained to Nurse Joy what had happened. She took the dratini and helped it before handing it back. "Here's your dratini, good as new!" she exclaimed brightly. "No, I-it's not-", I stammered. "Well, its not anyone else's, and you did help it, so yes it is! Now I just hope your parents will let you go on a Pokémon journey now".
When I got home I told my mother everything that had happened, and she was delighted. "Oh, Cloud, you can finally go on your Pokémon journey! You're just like your father!" "And you", I reminded her. She smiled. But first you have to pack up and get some supplies.
