She inched closer, his arms automatically responding to her warmth, as he glanced down, she glanced up. Her eyes were vacant and he knew, they'd been at it again. The world spun, he knew, but he could never tell her. She'd hide, deny, accuse him of a wild imagination, but her eyes would beg and plead for a savior. He twisted his head away, unable to be that hero, not until she spoke the words. So he'd do all he could, until she was able to smile, all the way into her eyes.
