Ever since Armin was younger he had long hair. Always past his ears, blonde, and flowing. He never thought of how it would feel to have short hair. That was Eren's job. Well, until now.
Armin stood in front of the mirror in the bathroom. He grabbed a lock of blonde hair in his right hand and tugged on it. "I really should cut this…," he thought to himself.
Shortly after Armin had left the bathroom he headed out to find Hanji. She always seemed to have a good opinion on people's hair styles.
Armin knocked on Hanji's door and quietly pushed it open. "Hanji?"
"Come in, come in!" Hanji said looking up from her notebook filled with titan studies. "Oh hey, Armin. What's up?"
"I was wondering if…" Armin looked down at his boots. "You could, um, cut my hair."
"Of course! I cut Corporal Levi's hair, did ya know that?" Hanji grabbed a large pair of scissors from her desk and rushed Armin into her chair.
"Thanks for this," Armin said as Hanji hacked away at his lovely locks of golden hair.
"Any time. That's what friends are for, right?"
Hanji finished chopping Armin's hair and handed him a mirror. "Do you like it?" She asked.
Hanji had cut his bangs slightly and cut the sides so you could see his ears. She had cut off a good inch or two from the back, so you could actually see the back of his neck. Armin smiled and thanked her as he left.
Later that day, Armin was eating his lunch alone at the wooden table. He had gotten a strange stare from Ymir, but Christa had told him the new hair style was great. Mikasa had joined Armin a little while after he had talked to Christa and Ymir.
"I like your haircut, Armin," Mikasa said as she grabbed a clump of his hair. "I wonder if Eren will like it."
At that moment the color drained from his face. "Eren…" He muttered to himself. Eren had always loved Armin's long blonde hair that made him look a bit like a girl. What would Eren say when he saw that a good deal of that hair was now gone?
Armin didn't have a long time to think, because Eren waltzed in the room seconds later. He sat now on the other side of Armin and seemed engaged in his food for a good minute or two before he slowly looked at Armin. "Armin, your hair…its short."
"Yes, Eren. I had Hanji cut it," Armin said as Eren stood up. He then walked out of the room after giving an angry stare at Jean.
Little did Armin know that Jean also have a liking for Armin's hair. After a moment of staring at Armin's hair he too, left the room.
When Armin had finished his lunch, he went to look for Eren. He checked everywhere he thought that Eren might be sulking.
Armin sighed and decided to ask for help to find Eren. And Hanji seemed like the person who would know where the teenage titan shifter would be.
The blonde headed to Hanji's room to ask her about Eren, but as he opened the door he found Eren and Jean fist fighting on the wooden floor over his hair.
Yes, that's right. The two teenagers were fighting over pieces of Armin's hair. Jean seemed to notice Armin before Eren and stood up quickly. He straighted out his jacket, "Hi, Armin." Eren, too, stood up and waved at Armin.
"If you guys wanted some of my hair could have just asked."
