"It's been a year, Blaine!" Kurt cried. "How could you not tell me?"
Kurt shook the lease angrily as a tear rolled down his cheek.
For the past year, Blaine a Kurt had been sharing an apartment in New York. The summer after Blaine Graduated, They'd moved in in together so Kurt could go to NYADA and Blaine could go to -. And They'd been happy. Or so Kurt thought.
In his hand, he held a copy of the two-year lease to an apartment in -, Washington. On the table behind him, an acceptance letter to the University of Washington.
"I thought we were happy! I-I-"
"IT's where Coop lives, Kurt!" Blaine cried. "And my mom! She's pregnant, Kurt! She needs us!"
Blaine's eyes swelled, tears trying to escape. Kurt froze, a look of utter defeat and hollowness crossing his face.
"I need you."
He dropped the papers and walked to the bathroom, Closing the door, he turned to the bathtub. He plugged the plug, turned on the water and stepped in, clothes and all, letting the tub fill around him. As the water rose, he slid under, letting the scalding water engulf him.
When he came up, the tub was full and the water had been turned off. And a Blaine sat on the edge of the tub and watched him, tears rolled down his cheeks. "Two years, Blaine. How could you not tell me?" Blaine shook his head, unable to answer. " I have to, Kurt." he pleaded.
Kurt leaned forward and Blaine climbed in behind him.
Holding each other tight, they fell asleep, curled in warm, wet clothes, feeling the water mix with their silent tears, and knowing, in their hearts, this wasn't the end.
