A/N: Well, hello. This is a um... a short interlude before I do anything for PD. I know, I know, I haven't updated that story in like two months now, maybe three. That's because I'm stumped on how I should proceed with it. I mean, I have my own plot and everything. The Kuroshitsuji plot is just a subplot to mine. So, I'm going to say that the common writer's block has gotten to me. I apologize now and hopefully I can get a chapter up sometime next week because that's my spring break.

PS: This will be an ongoing story too, but it'll be on the back burner. PD is my priority.

DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT own Inuyasha. The series belong to the amazing Takahashi Rumiko. I mean come one, if I owned it, a lot more shit would be going down lol. My OTP would be together too.

Chapter 1

Dreary blue eyes opened and bright white lights flashed into them. Kagome winced and snapped her eyes shut, turning her head to the side. After a moment she opened her eyes and took in the white around her. She jerked up, pulling on the IV in her arm and hissed in pain. In that moment, her mother snapped awake and her concerned gaze fell on her daughter.

"Kagome dear, calm down."

"Ma-mama, where are we?" She asked in confusion. The last thing she remembered was standing silently in the clearing near the well with everyone surrounding her. They had finally defeated Naraku and they were cheering and smiling and crying.

"We're in the hospital dear. Yesterday you chased Buyo into the well house and tripped. You fell into the well." Her mother said with worry lighting her brown eyes.

Kagome's brow furrowed and she stared at her mother, searching her face. "Wh-what?"

Mrs. Higurashi smiled softly at her daughter and reached out to smooth down her hair. Kagome looked so lost, as if she wasn't supposed to be here. She patted her hand and murmured, "You got a concussion from the fall. The doctor says you should take it easy for a while."

Kagome hummed thoughtfully and softly grabbed her mother's wrist before she could leave, "Mama," she paused, "In-Inuyasha didn't come over, did he?"

Mrs. Higurashi sat back down and craned her head to look at her. "Inuyasha? Who's that dear?"

"What? Mama, Inuyasha!" Her mother's continued look of confusion had her hesitantly giving out the description of her first love, "Half-demon? Boy with dog ears, long silver hair, golden eyes, red clothes?" Kagome desperately waved her hands in the air.

"I'm sorry honey, you must have been dreaming." Mrs. Higurashi tried to calm her daughter. The look she was getting from her broke her heart. She looked as if she could cry.

"No Mama, Inuyasha, the half dog-demon," She shook her head, "Shippo, the little red fox? Sango? Miroku?" Mrs. Higurashi shook her head again and Kagome just stopped. The priestess was starting to hyperventilate as her worst fears were coming to pass. How, how could her mom not know? They were an integral part of her life!

The burning sensation behind her eyes caught her off guard and she felt the first tear slide down her face. She turned away quickly and wiped her face. Her mother gently gripped her hand in an attempt to comfort her, but Kagome pulled her hand away and asked to be alone. Mrs. Higurashi sighed sadly and quietly left.

When her mom left, Kagome couldn't hold it back anymore and the tears fell in small continuous rivulets down her face. She curled up in her sitting position and grabbed the blankets, pulling them up to her face. She buried her face into them and cried. She sobbed uncontrollably and pounded her hands into the bed. Kagome dug her teeth into her lip so hard it bled and she felt a big part of her break and shatter as the realization that everyone had forgotten and she would never be able to go back.
