Chapter 1. The beginning of the new year
"YAWN! I hate school. It makes me tired. It is so boring." A young man about seventeen complained to his friend. He had brown hair, brown eyes, and a scar on his left cheek.
"I agree with you. I'd much rather stay home than have to sit through one of Gregorio's lectures on how history is important." This voice belonged to a girl about sixteen with red hair tied into pigtails, and blue eyes. "Say. By the way Vyse. What is your schedule this year?"
"Let's see. I have geography with Gregorio, Math with Old Maid Osman, Chemistry with Ichlymis(I hope I got the spelling right), Study Hall with Prime, Military History with Ryu-kan, and PE with Khazim. In other words I have three good classes and sleeping courses in between. What about you Aika?"
"Everything except Military History. Instead, I have Home Economics with Miss Polly."
All of a sudden there came a voice behind them. "Excuse me. Do you know how to get to the office?" Vyse and Aika turned to stare a girl about sixteen with blond hair and blue eyes. "I'm sorry. Did I interrupt your conversation? I'm really sorry. I'm new here and need some guidance."
Vyse smiled and said, "No worries. We'll take you to the office. The names Vyse by the way. And this is my best friend, Aika."
"I'm Fina. It is a pleasure to meet you."
