Ray Kon wasn't exactly what you would call a "lucky" guy. What he got he got with skill and perseverance.

He wasn't like Tyson, who could win a match or game with pure luck.

But this was just ridiculous.

"AAaaaaaand Rays out again!" Max and Tyson said together, while laughing at the neko jins misfortune. He huffed as he threw the cards down. Eight games, eight straight games of cards, and he hadn't wont a single hand.

"Pay up, Mr. Pouty Pants!" Max giggled as Ray took the last of his candy out of his pockets and threw it to Max, who happened to be the winner.

Who liked American card games, anyways?

He huffed to himself as he made his way into the kitchen to make the childrens dinner.

As he entered, he noticed Kai sitting at the table, on his laptop, working on something or another. He never asked, assuming it was important.

"Lose everything, Kon?" Kai drawled, a bit of amusement in his voice, as Ray growled lowly.

"I cant help it, dammit. I just suck at cards." Kai looked at him and shook his head.

"Hn. It takes skill. You just lack that skill." Ray looked at him, annoyed.

"It takes luck, not skill. You cant help what cards you get." He said bluntly, and Kai narrowed his eyes a bit.

"Maybe with something like War, but with Poker, you need skills. Skills to bluff and hid your emotions, or let certain ones shine through."

"Well excuse me! It was only my second night playing the stupid game." Ray grumbled to himself as he begin getting out pots, then the ingredients he would need to make his famous chilli.

"At least I know they cant beat me in cooking. THAT takes skill." He said with a grin as Kai snorted.

"There arent but a handful of people in the world that can beat you in cooking. Or blading. You don't give yourself enough credit for somethings." He said, and Ray fought down a blush. Instead, he grinned cockily.

"Your right, I should. Ive got mad skillz with everything but cards." Kai snorted.

"And computers." Ray whinced. That was a memory he didn't want to relieve. The time he had tried to help Kenny with something on his computer…

"And computers…."

"Ill teach you how to play Poker." Kai suddenly said as he closed his laptop, stood, and disappeared from the room.

Ray watched him go, the way he swayed when he walked…

When he came back, he had a deck of cards. Ray frowned.

"Thanks, Kai, but I already know how to play. Im just no good."

Kai grinned, a bit sadistically. "I know. And that, little Ray Ray, is why where playing Strip Poker."
