It was an injustice! Well...no,it probably wasn't but still,he should not be feeling this way about an Earth girl! What truly was an injustice however,was the fact that she hated him! It wasn't his fault,he even complimented her. He said she looked sweet,how was that not a compliment?
Admittedly,he did say that she looked so sweet when she was angry...it wasn't an insult! Not at all. And admittedly,thanks to the Black Guardian he had to sneak around and sabotage and charm his way out of trouble if he got caught...so maybe she had reason to dislike him. But that didn't make it any better!
She was rude,bossy,annoying and-like the rest of her kind-was reduced to shouting when she couldn't get her own way. So why did he like her so? Why was he so damned attracted to that infuriating Australian?!
It was an injustice! Dictionary meanings be damned! In Tegan's mind,feeling anything but intense dislike and suspicion for that unreliable,arrogant,rude...really quite handsome...No! She couldn't be thinking like that!
Turlough was deceiving,rude,conniving,pompous,unreliable and downright patronising. No matter how much she liked him,she had to keep that in the foreground of her mind. No matter how charming,or handsome,or unique he was...he was still a pig-headed alien with bad intentions.
So what if he said she looked sweet? It didn't change a thing between them,and no amount of complimenting would. Tegan was sure of that. But Turlough was extremely flawed,and said flaws always took over his personality. So why in the universe was she so bloody attracted to that sneaky alien?!
