A/N: Just a really short fic about Zero's unwillingness to feed. Hope you enjoy!
Kaname's POV
I could feel his heart pounding through his chest so powerfully it shook my very core. Of course I could feel his heart beat because he was pressed firmly against me. The moans escaping from my mouth every time he stubbornly increased the force of his bite. I had warned him not to overdo it—that he would be punished but clearly that's far from his collapsed mind. His fingernails are digging dangerously into my back making me grimace. I can feel my skin tear under the pressure. Anymore blood loss and I might pass out.
"Kiryu-kun," I pull away enough to dislodge his nails from my back. "You're overdoing it. I can't have you drinking all my blood."
Kiryu's red eyes flicker a bit and the force of his bite lessens until I no longer feel his fang imbedded in my neck. I want to collapse but I can't show weakness in front of him. He already disregards my existence as I do with his. I bring my hand to my neck and feel the bite wound. It's angry but I'm relieved that it's started to heal. The indents on my back have long gone since they weren't even half as deep as the puncture wounds on my neck. Kiryu's thirst is becoming worse and I fear I may not be able to sustain him much longer.
"Kuran-senpai," he says and wipes away the remainder of my blood from his lips on his shirt sleeve and crouches forward. He looks like a cat ready to strike but I know he isn't about to move anytime soon. He's too exhausted after going almost a week without feeding. Even if my blood satisfies his need for now he still needs to build back his strength. He'll need a good rest. I study his expression and almost feel sympathy for him. Kiryu doesn't deserve this. Actually no ex-human does. Vampires and humans are two distinctly different creatures and they should've remained that way.
"I'll get him to bring you back to your room." I say and stand up. My strength's come back and I fix my jacket back to its original position. It's obvious Aidou and the others know what I've done. They won't forgive me for it but I know they'll never come right out and question me. Such discipline followers. Before I leave the room I take one last glance at the silver-haired male still crouched on the floor. "Kiryu-kun, be sure to feed next time. I can't keep losing this ridiculous amount of blood whenever we meet."
I blink and avert my eyes to the front. I hear some shuffling behind me but ignore it and walk away into the moonlight. Such a stubborn child.
