Chapter One- Before Breakfast
I woke up very early today and raced downstairs (by sliding down the banister, like always.) Then ran into the kitchen to begin making breakfast (pancakes), after all, I didn't want to waste any time today. While the batter was sitting, I went to get the mail. There were two letters there, and it was addressed to Hanna and me from Hogwarts! I quickly ran and put it on my other cards and presents.
After I did that I went back into the kitchen only to find my mother there flipping pancakes, she looked at me and said ¨Hey there birthday girl!¨
¨Hallo Mother." I said, slipping into a chair and picking up my book, ¨Is Dad up?¨
¨No honey, I heard the mixer running and so I came to surprise you!¨
¨Well you certainly shocked me! I didn't think that it would wake you, I'm sorry."
"It's alright, at least your father didn't wake up. You know how much he hates being woken early"
"I know Mom," I said, looking up to see my twin sister Hanna and my father Luis creeping up behind her. She looked at me and put her finger to her lips, I nodded slightly and said, " How did you sleep Mo…"
"BOOOO!" The two of them yelled, causing Mom to scream and me to fall to the floor, roaring with laughter.
After a minute I picked myself off the floor still giggling uncontrollably. Then I remembered the letters, "Sis, we need to talk, privately." I said, taking her into the living room where the letters were sitting.
"What is it, Wilhelm?" she asked, using her old nickname for me.
"Look," I said, showing her the letters.
"EEEEEEEEEE!" She exclaimed snatching the letters from my hand and racing into the other room. "LOOK LOOK LOOK MOM DAD WE GOT OUR HOGWARTS LETTERS!"
