Hello, its Solana! This is a short story I wrote in class, so forgive me since it is so very short. Mine are usually longer than this. But I won't bore you with rants, so please enjoy the story! Reviews are welcome.

"Tch" he thought as he reached out to catch a pink petal, falling from the sky off a cherry tree. He looked at it for a while, turning it over, feeling its softness in his hand. It was spring, and the whole world was in bloom, life coming on after a winter of death and decay. He sighed and turned to look at the tree, its deep brown bark hidden beneath a blizzard of pale pink blossoms.

"Just like her" he thought of the girl he had left behind. How he left her on the edge of town, tears streaming down her face, her silent pleas for him not to leave. It filled him with a long forgotten regret, driving his nostalgia and sadness. The springtime breeze swept the air, tumbling it over, and carried him away in his memories of happier times. Everyone he left came back to his mind, his friends, his life, and wished for the first time in years, that he could go back. That he could rectify his mistake, to be forgiven for the hurt he had invariantly caused with his jealousy and selfishness.

"Sasuke… I love you, please…don't leave me" her anguished words filled his mind. His last words to her… he could remember them well.

"You… are so annoying" and yet, even now, he wasn't sure he meant them. Hatred had always suited him well, but even as he walked away from his home forever, the same words kept coming back to his head.

"Sakura… thank you"
