1. Help a Friend

Chapter 1

Sometimes the night whispers with despair. With a chilling breeze, its too cold to sleep. I found my self lying on my bed, staring out the window, hoping to see the sun light once again. My heard quivered in fear.

The next morning Droy ate him self silly. I didn't need to ask what the matter was. I was well aware of Jet and Droy's feelings for me. I only wished that one day I will be happy with my prince, thats all I wished for. My heart belonged to someone out their, I sighed. I got up and sat down next to Lucy who looked abit sad.

"Whats wrong Lucy?"

She lifts her head up from her arms, "I need money for rent this month, but Natsu left for a job so unexpectedly. And without me!"

"Why don't you take a job by your self?"

"Because I get lonely on solo jobs, I'm used to doing jobs with Natsu." she starts crying.

I looked away, I never knew that she had such a deep connection with Natsu. I'm so jealous. I turned back, "Hey Lucy why don't we go on a job, just the two of us! it'll be fun!" Trying to bring her hopes up.

She looks up Levy, "Uh? Sure if its not a bother." she sniffs,

Her eyes were moist from the tears. "Nope I'll do anything to help a friend out, besides I need to get my mind off of somethings." I stared down at the floor as if there was something interesting on the floor.

"Ok! Sure and thanks for going on a job with me." Her voice filled with excitement.

We went to the request board and picked, "Find the missing treasure" request for 8000 jewels.

"Oh my gosh Levy we are going treasure hunting!" Lucy seemed excited.

"Yeah a pretty easy job, and looks fun! Finding buried treasure in someone else's back yard. Should be easy right?"

We high fived each other. "Lets do this." Lucy hurried to the front door of the guild. "Hurry."

"I'll be there, wait for me." I walked to the table where Droy and Jet were at. "I'm going on a job with Lucy, just to let you know."

"Ok, sure have fun." Droy continued eating.

"Ok!" I walked to the front of the door.

"Wait!... um" Jet hesitated.

I turned around and saw his arm extended outward.

"Never mind, go have fun Levy." he sighed

I gave him a wave good bye, wile I walked out the door to the out side world.
