Prompt: Long distance relationship, skype call, with the dialogue line "I miss you so bad, Sakura." - Post war, canon verse, post Sarada's birth
Written for fayeharuno-uchiha :)
I've called this a skype medley because I'm certain many people in long distance relationships can relate! Your collected feelings of love keep the skype server burning =P 3

"Can you see me?" Sakura asks, and she comes through the speakers muffled. Sasuke can see 'parts' of his wife, especially the squishy bits pressing up towards the webcam as she tries to fix the speakers. He notes that she's not wearing a bra, just a thin strapped singlet that probably looks amazing wet.
He hasn't seen those breasts in much too long.
But he also hasn't seen her face, and while Sasuke's dick is hungry, his heart is even more so.
It's been too long.
He's a travelled man who travels less these days. His daughter is almost 6 years old, and Sasuke has been there for all the important developmental changes. They take turns at parenting and going on missions, and Sasuke really needed to get away when this mission was posed to him.
Nevertheless, he forgot how much he misses them when he's gone.
Sakura's face comes into view, but it's only fleeting; she's too busy trying to set the damned computer up. He wants to see her again.
"I can." Sasuke replies, and he watches as she fiddles some more. It's been a long six months, and this mission is starting to grate on his nerves. Sasuke wants to go home to his family; to his wife and his little girl.
Sakura continues to fuck around and it begins to frustrate him.
"The sound is fine, Sakura." He says, and she must hear the edge in his voice. Sakura stops moving and pulls away from the screen.
She looks at him for the first time in two months, and Sasuke remembers all over again just how he feels.
In the golden light of their bedroom, her eyes are incredibly green. He can see that she's been biting her lip (it's plump and inviting), and her hair is damp from her shower.
Sasuke glimpses the bed behind her. He can see that she's set it up just so, with a wall full of his pillows to cuddle at night. He knows her system, and he will never admit that he has something similar of his own for when Sakura is out of town.
"Say something." Sakura orders excitedly, she sits down in the computer chair and then squints; a frown comes to her face as she peers closer. "I can't see you very well."
"Sorry." Sasuke replies, focussing on Sakura. He reaches over and turns on the lamp.
"We're lucky to talk at all." He murmurs, and Sasuke thinks about that fact; about being away from home, collecting intel, and being stuck in this place - undercover of course.
"I know." Sakura sighs out, and Sasuke understands the feeling.
She's looking at him with those big eyes, and he can see that tears are starting to gather.
"Sakura," He says softer. "There's no need to cry." He notes the familiar clench of his heart. Sasuke hates it when Sakura cries, especially when he can do nothing to fix the problem.
"I'm sorry, Sasuke. I miss you a lot." Sakura glances downward and her eyes are no longer visible. He remembers that he won't be able to see her until his mission's end.
He almost has everything he needs. He's waiting on one piece of crucial data, and then he'll be home faster than Sakura can say dango. However, there's a lot of waiting in this shinobi game, and he hopes that it doesn't hold him up.
Silence falls over them - not because they don't have things to talk about, because they do; there are stories to tell and information to share.
But there is also this; him and her.
If they were together right now, Sasuke would hold Sakura's hand.
"How are you feeling?" Sakura eventually asks, when they've had a load of staring at each other.
Frankly he isn't done yet, but he squints in thought all the same. Sasuke is feeling a lot of things, and while he isn't a man of words, it's not hard to say this to Sakura; they've been together a long time.
"Home sick." He sighs, leaning his elbows on the desk. His fringe falls over his eyes, and he brushes it back before Sakura can complain about not seeing his face; she does that.
"How about you?" He asks.
Sakura looks at Sasuke, longingly through the screen, and he thinks he knows her answer.
"I'm at home, but I feel homesick. I'm Sasuke-sick." She sighs, and Sasuke understands. When Sakura is away on missions, it sucks just as bad; probably more because of all the photos and remembrances of her about the place.
Sakura is everywhere in their house, and when he's sleeping alone in their bed, it's even worse.
At least when he's on mission he misses it all, instead of just one important piece.
"I'm sorry…" He murmurs, and there's a pause.
"Is Sarada okay?" He asks next, sounding apologetic.
Sakura makes a face of thought, and she tells him, "She misses her papa, but she's doing well. Will you be able to video call before she starts academy?"
Sasuke frowns. How could he have forgotten such an important day? He can still remember his brother taking him to the academy, even though it was so long ago.
Sasuke affirms silently to himself that this is what is going to happen. He hasn't decided the logistics, but he has decided his course of action.
"I'll come home. I'll be there for it."
Sakura looks surprised, and then her eyes grow wider, and she is smiling. He realises that he might need this just as much as his family does.
"That's in eight weeks." Sakura says. "It'll be okay if you can't, I mean -"
"I'll be there, Sakura. I promise." Sasuke reiterates, and it stops Sakura in her tracks. She's nodding next, and she seems silently happy.
"Thank you." She smiles at him warmly, and her eyes hold so much love that it hurts to look at her.
He wants to thank her as well, for giving him something to come back to.
Instead, he replies with, "You're welcome."
Silence falls after that and Sasuke watches his wife openly. She watches him back, and he wonders what she sees in him. Sasuke can see beautiful sloping lines, and her creamy coloured skin; he can see the rosiness of her lips, and the angular line of her jaw; the shape of her breast is something from his dreams; and Sakura's hands upon the desk look dainty.
"I wish I could touch you." He admits softly, and he watches as sadness creeps into Sakura's eyes. She looks into his obsidian now, instead of at the rest of him.
"Sasuke-kun." Sakura whispers, and a tear escapes her; she wipes it away, but he's already seen. "I miss you so much…Do you miss me?"
Sasuke grips one hand on the edge of the desk in sad frustration. He doesn't get upset like Sakura, he gets angry.
But right now…he can't bring the fire.
Tonight, he is listless.
Clenching his jaw, he drags his fingers through his hair. He shakes his head, and Sakura watches his movements intently.
"What's wrong?" She asks worriedly, and he can tell that she wants to reach out also.
Sasuke sighs and admits something that still isn't easy for him, even after being together for so long.
"I do." He whispers.
"I miss you, Sakura."
He feels an annoying tick in his eye and he wipes it away.
"I miss you both so much."
He sighs out and Sakura does too. They both understand what it's like.
"We miss you too baby." Sakura whispers back.
