HEY! NEW STORY! Bet you guys didn't see this coming! If you cannot tell, I'm a huge fan of misunderstood bad boys as well as men with huge complexes. It may be naïve for me to think this way, but I believe that everyone deserves a second chance. So, that is the reasoning behind this story! Plus, Loki is an amazing character to work with. To the story…
"DARCY!"
I hit my knee on the desk, "Oww… What the fuck does Fury want now? He does realize that I'm Jane's intern, right? Ugh…"
I'm sure Mr. Furious wouldn't mind me taking the long way to his office. I smirked to myself before taking the farthest route possible to his office.
Before I entered his office, I muttered, "If he asks me one more time for a frappe, I'm going to 'accidently' spill it on his desk when I return."
"Yes, Mr. Fury?" I said politely (Hey, I want to keep the job now that I'm actually being paid).
He turned to look at me, "Darcy, I have a request for you."
"And that would be…?" I paused hoping for something different than a coffee run.
Fury dropped a huge folder in front of me and smirked after seeing my mouth drop, "Don't worry, this isn't paperwork I want you to file or staple. This is your new project."
I looked at him before reviewing the papers while my jaw kept dropping wider. Quickly, I glanced up to see if he was joking only to see a straight face.
"What the actual fuck, Fury!? You have got to be kidding me!" I yelled.
He smiled, "Thor thought you would be a good fit for the job. Do not tell me that I need to give a raise to someone else to do it."
I glared, "You really know how to make people do your dirty work. Fine, I'll do it but I expect to be paid four times my current pay and I want a body guard for the first month."
Fury nodded, "That is acceptable other than the body guard. Your taser should be enough according to Thor."
"JANE! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?! I'M BEING STUCK WITH THE WORLD'S BIGGEST DICK FOR FURY'S PERSONAL ENJOYMENT!" I shouted at my best friend and boss.
She shook her head, "Darcy, he wasn't too bad the last time I saw him. I mean, he did save my life. In fact, he helped save the universe. I don't see how this is the worst thing that could happen to you. He has redeemed himself in Earth's eyes. Why can't you accept that?"
"HE ALMOST DESTROYED THE EARTH BECAUSE HE HAD DADDY ISSUES!" I yelled back.
Jane frowned, "DARCY, that is enough! Get over it! You could be so much worse off, you know that right? Just do your job and then complain about it after, okay?"
"Fine."
Next Day…
"Hello, I'm Darcy." I spoke as I extended my hand.
Silence enveloped the room before my arm fell back to my side and I glared waiting for the smug look to retreat on HIS face. After a while, he broke the silence with a slight chuckle.
Loki smirked, "Oh, this will be quite interesting."
