Waking up in the early morning, stretched out on the bed, the pesky brunette from down the street lays topless beside me. A smirk creeps across my face, Alexandria was safe. Nudging her gently, she flutters her eyes and stares at the roof with a sudden gasp before she relaxes and settles into the bed, dragging her eyes over to me. She leans over and kisses me softly, her lips swollen and her neck covered in love bites fresh and old.
"Morning Daisy," I mumble.
Rolling over, she presses herself into my side, smiling at me with her large full lips. "Morning Grace,"
A crying baby in the distance shakes the pair of us from our moment, she groans and stares at the open door, "fuck, Tony is awake. Go make us coffee?" she asks, pulling herself from the bed. Exposing her lean, tanned body barely a scratch on her from both the baby and the outside world, Daisy was among my group before we found Alexandria.
"Sure, I'm going to go and introduce myself to the new group by the way. So I'm leaving," I drop the hint to her. She nods slowly, her eyes falling to the flaw. "Don't pout," I say as I pull myself from the bed. My body smaller and more muscular then hers, though my stomach was littered with small silver stretch marks from when I was overweight before this all began.
Slipping on jeans, a tank top and a pair of shoes for the day after a long hot shower, removing the aroma of last nights' affair from my skin; Daisy goes to soothe the child as I pull my black hair into a bun on top of my head, out of my face so it's practical for today. Flipping the kettle on as I walk into my kitchen, Daisy sits on a dinning chair with the baby attached to her nipple as she attempts to get him to feed. I place a soft kiss on top of her head as I pass, I did enjoy Daisy's company. But I wasn't allowing myself to think Alexandria was permanent and that Daisy wouldn't fall into the pit of death that surrounds those gates. That and she wasn't going to be leaving her husband; Ian any time soon. Always visiting me with great new gossip and staying late so she needs to stay, anyone with a brain knows that Daisy doesn't surround herself with me for my great talking skills.
"Apparently there is a pair moving in next door from where the Millers were before Joan had a heart attack," Daisy says, taking the steaming mug out of my hand.
Sitting across the small oak table, I nod and sip on my own coffee. Looking out the large window at the old Miller's home, "Apparently there was a cutie in there," I remark.
Daisy looks over at me and nods, "Yeah, well if you're into Latino's then yeah." She says, her tone sour. She looks down at Tony and rocks him gently, her lips pouting and her brow furrowed. Her jealousy was able to get the better of her at the best of times.
"Yeah, I like what I like. There like a fucking model agency spat out a bunch of survivors and they've been using their ridiculously good looks to get out of walker attacks," I reply.
Kissing Daisy goodbye, I don't bother to lock the door behind me when I leave. I knew where the new group would be, they'd group together not wanting to stray too far each other in case things went south. Each new group does it, there tactics isn't anything most of us haven't seen out there. Lets hope they figure out that those tactics only get you so far in Alexandria, we like to keep the peace mostly in here. If not, we're no better in here then out there.
