Why

A/N: Taking place during/after 4.19, Grace Period. I watched it last night and I liked the unspoken competition between Ziva and Paula. It wasn't all Paula's team affecting her, I can tell you that. Paula's and Ziva's POV. Really short, sorry.

Gibbs has warned me. So why have I taken up the needling of Cassidy? Simple. Tony. It always comes down to those green eyes… So, I will help Paula take out her anger. As well as the help, it is always good to annoy the one who would take his attentions.

Though… Tony has not taken so much interest in Paula as he has, past the mindless flirting he does every day. I know that something has been going on, behind our backs. It stings- bites?- that he does not confide in me, or Gibbs.

Paula is a good woman who I think I could admire in another world, another time. However, in this one, my sympathies extend to the loss of her team. Currently, I simply tingle- sizzle?- with rage each time Cassidy throws a suggestive look, a kind comment, in Tony's direction.

How dare she try to take what should be mine? Of course, I believe he may be all ready spoken for, which hurts worse than what she could ever do.

Because he has not told me.

ssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

I laugh in the face of her snooty Israeli face. Mossad? Try robot!

It pleased me in some perverse manner to bait her like that. Now, my team is avenged, and it's up to us to keep any other of those bastards from blowing up this little peace party. Oh, look! She jumped when the door closed!

Okay, that was funny.

I've been watching Tony, and I don't think there's anything there, but she definitely wants there to be. Is he blind? I'm not arguing, but it's good. For me.

Later, I see him. Arab bastard, watch me play ball! No choice is in my mind. I jump.

Boom.
