Author's Note: There is one scene that has always bothered me in ACFS. Starsky has two hours left to live and it appears Hutch is going to leave him alone in the
hospital. I looked at that scene again and the way they looked into each others eyes. This is my idea of what they said to each other during that silent communication moment.
As always, I do not own Starsky or Hutch. I keep checking ebay, but drat, I always get outbid.

Then that means I have to leave you alone for awhile. What if I am too late and you…?
I won't be alone and neither will you. A part of each of us is always with the other. It's what keeps us both alive. You will be back in time. Trust me. Trust you.
The two nodded and smiled, acknowledging their special bond. As long as there was breath left in one, the other would never give up.
