CLANG. My sword clashed against Annabeth's knife.

"Geeze Annabeth," I said.

"What?" she wheezed as she blocked another one of my strikes. She hit my sword and it went flying.

"Either you've practiced a lot or I'm off my game today." I smiled."I'm goin' with the off game."

"What? Can't stand to have a girl beat you?" she laughed and went to go get riptide.

"Maybe. Hey….." I started to ask something but was interrupted by the horn signaling lunch.

"Lunchtime. Ask me later, Seaweed brain?"

My face fell. "Sure."

We both ran to the pavilion.

After lunch, I met up with Annabeth.

"Annabeth, can I talk to you?"

"Sure." She smiled. I grabbed her hand and led her to my cabin. My cheeks heated up a little bit. I didn't mean to grab her hand. It was a natural thing to do.

"I know where your cabin is, Seaweed brain." She giggled.

I blushed even more. "I don't care." I muttered. We finally reached my cabin when Thalia appeared right in front of my door.

"Move Thalia." I said. Thalia just ignored me. "Awwww. You guys finally figured you belong together." She said while folding her hands.

My face was bright red. "No Thalia, I just need to talk to Annabeth…"

"About your love for her." Thalia finished my sentence smiling. My blush deepened. 'How'd she guess?' I thought.

"No. I need to talk to her about some girl I like." I lied. Annabeth's hand stiffened in mine. Thalia looked at her sympathetically.

"I'm sorry Annabeth." She said, going to stand beside her. Annabeth just looked at her. I had no idea what was going on. I just stared at them. Annabeth met my eyes. There was a pleading in them. Her hand was still in mine so I squeezed it.

"Thalia, can I just talk to Annabeth. Please?" I asked pleadingly. I tried to telepathically tell her that she was right about the reason I wanted to talk to Annabeth. I loved her. I think she understood because her face brightened.

"Fine, but you have to talk to me afterwards." "Fine." I answered, rolling my eyes. "Come on Annabeth." I pulled her into my cabin and shut the door.

I dragged her to my bunk and we sat down with our backs against the wall. "Well, you know now why I wanted to talk to you." I looked straight ahead.

"Ya, so talk to me." She said and I looked at her. She gave me a small smile. "Tell me about her. What's her name?"

'Annabeth' I thought. "I forgot. She's from camp though." She gave me a look that told me that she knew that I was lying.

"She has beautiful eyes and shiny golden blond hair. She's really smart. I love the sound of her voice and her laugh makes me want to make her laugh more." Annabeth's face was emotionless. I kept going.

"I think she's the most beautiful thing in the world. I think I'm in love with her." I felt the bed move a little bit. " I've never kissed her though." I looked over at Annabeth. I think she was leaning in to tell me something because when I turned to face her our noses were almost touching. I looked her in the eyes.

"Why haven't you kissed her" she whispered. I could feel her breath on my face. It was sweet.

"I've never tried." I whispered back. I moved in a little closer. I saw her eyes close so I closed mine.

I met her lips with mine. My hands rested on her waist and I could feel her hands go around my neck then into my hair. I felt fire wherever she touched me. I laid her down so I was on top of her on my bed. My tongue asked for entrance and she gave it. I could hear cheering so I broke away. Thalia was at the open window, clapping her hands. I looked at her and she stopped. She stuck her hand in the window pulled down the shade and then closed the window. Annabeth grabbed my face and brought me down again.
