Kiba: (backs away frightened of the giant newspaper)
Shino: (smirks) ...How can you not laugh at that?...
Alrighty then... Lets get it started in here.
-------------
Shino sunk further into his chair. He felt he needed a break after all the stuff he'd been through that particular day. And yes, he'd been through a lot.
He sighed in defeat realizing he had to leave for a mission report later. As much as it sucked, he was willing to do it as soon as he saw his 19-month old son playing with his teddy bear.
"Itaru," he cooed softly. "Itaru, come here..."
Itaru looked at his father before softly giggling and standing. He began to waddle his way to Shino, who smiled at the site.
Shino picked up Itaru as soon as he was in reaching distance. He placed the child on his lap. A smile took place on his face as the boy laughed in his high-pitched baby voice.
"I'd do anything for you," he told the tot giving him an eskimo kiss.
Itaru just giggled placing the stuffed animal's leg further into his mouth. He had a huge smile on his face as his tiny hands reached for Shino.
Shino pulled him close and pulled his coat down so he could kiss his son. He silently played with the boy remembering when they first met. It had been an accident, but in a rush to get his son to help the poor girl in labor, Shikaku had accidentally thrown Shino down to deliver the child. He had, of course, but he had freaked out afterwards. After Shikaku had thoroughly scolded his son for not being there, he had handed the screaming infant to Shino.
Shino smiled and gleamed at his son. That must be what had him so proud of his child. Not only did he create a child that was far beyond perfect, he had also delivered his own child into the world. It had been fun, but he had no intensions of doing it again.
Itaru looked up as someone entered the room. He gurgled at the figure and reached his little hands out to it.
Shino sighed. It wasn't a bad sigh. A sigh that simply let everyone know he was happy with the little family he had. Pulling the girl closer to him, he grinned.
"So?" he asked her.
She lay her head on his shoulder. "You'd better prepare," she warned. "You've got two more on the way."
His head snapped towards her. "Two?"
She nodded her head and smiled. "Yes, Shino. Two more. Indentical boys."
Shino felt a smile tugging on his lips. He loved children. He had a perfect son, a wonderful girlfriend, and two more sons on the way.
He sighed happily again. "Relaxing thought..." he mummbled. "I'm ready to give my report to the Hokage and take some time off. Time to spend time with the family," he chuckled getting up. He set his son on the floor, but not without a kiss on the boy's head.
He walked over to the door and put one hand on the knob. "One more question," he said with happy smirk. "How far along?"
She laughed. "Five months," she replied. "See? I told you there was something kicking in there."
Shino nodded, smirk still in place. "Maybe I should take about six months off to spend time with you guys," he laughed half-joking. "I think I will. Gotta make sure you eat properly..." He said walking out the door.
As the door shut, Itaru grinned and his mother just smiled. His comment hadn't gone unnoticed and she was thankful for his words. A simple 'I love you' to make sure they knew how he felt for his steadily growing family.
