Mel sat up in her bed. She couldn't sleep. Which sucked, since sleeping is awesome. Len doesn't sleep though, he likes staying up and working. That's fine though. He's trying his best to pursue his dream.
The brunette's violet eyes shifted around her room. She spotted a familiar shape on the ground, frowning. She leaned over her bed, picking it up. A heart pillow-a fluffy one-one Miku had made for her. It was soft to the touch and purple. Mel liked purple, it was most colors. Vibrant, pretty, and bright. But something about purple made her really like it.
Were the others awake? Mel couldn't sleep, so the best thing to do would be to go play with Reese or Mario. They're fun. She liked Len and Ayano too, but Mario was energetic like Mel and Reese was patient enough to deal with her naivety. Meanwhile, Len was quiet and calm, he taught her well but he looked tired a lot of the time. Ayano was more quiet, she rarely spoke and just listened to Mel talk about everyone and the entire world. She swung her legs over her bed, her feet not reaching the floor. She jumped down, landing on the soft carpet of her room.
What time was it? Could she go play with everyone now? Her room didn't have a clock, so she'd have to go outside her room. Mel wiggled her toes, shuffling to the colorful door of her lodging. The core turned the knob, stepping into the hallway and towards the stairs. She leaned to the left of the staircase. That was the library, that's where Reese lived. She liked going to the library. Often, she'd sit down with Reese, wrapped in a cozy blanket. And Len would come upstairs with Miku, the two prepared to discuss a book they read. She would listen to the duo get into a heat discussion as Reese complained about how loud they were.
She leaned back to the right, looking down at the steps leading to the first floor. She heard the TV. Someone was downstairs. Mel took the first step, the plank creaking. She flinched, as instinct, before taking a few more steps. The living room came into view. The TV was on, but no one was sitting on any of the couches. The small girl blinked, shuffling to the middle couch, after reaching ground. She took a seat.
Comfy. No one was here though. Mel let her feet dangle off the couch. Looking around the room, she let out a small whimper. She didn't like being alone, especially before she joined the Elements.
Where's Len? Is he in his room? Is Miku in the garden? Pammy's not in the kitchen. Nor is S at the table. She rocked back and forth, staring at the TV. What about Reese? The library lights weren't on.
And then, she heard footsteps from the staircase. She jolted, turning around to the source of the noise. Len blinked quickly, turning his head downward. "Mel? Why are you awake? It's 3AM." He calmly stated. Oh. It's Len.
Mel smiled, following Len with her eyes as he stepped down the stairs. "Is it?" She asked cluelessly. "I don't have a clock!" His eyebrows rose, sitting next to Mel. "How odd, should I ask S to go and buy you one?" The blonde hugged himself, tilting his head. "No! That's fine! If I wake up at 3AM, I can talk with you!" She replied, Len furrowing his brows. "That's not a good thing, a kid like you should be fast asleep now." He stared at the ground, his glasses glinting in the light.
The front door swung open, a familiar figure entering the room. "Oh. So, uh, why are you two awake?" Reese raised a brow, blowing a gum bubble. "Hello." Len blinked, turning to the navigator. "Yo, why's Mel up?" The older female repeated her question. "She has no clock, so she had no idea it's 3AM." Len sighed.
